Jerry Collins is a native North Carolinian, raised in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. He graduated from Wake Forest University, Cum Laude, in 1976. He continued his studies at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University and graduated, with Distinction (top ten), in 1980. That same year, he entered the practice of law in Bryson City, North Carolina. He moved to Murphy, North Carolina in 1982 where, 44 years later, he continues to provide legal services to residents of Western North Carolina. After passing the Florida Bar in 2023, Jerry has practiced law in Bonita Springs, Florida, providing estate planning services to residents of Lee County and Collier County. Mr. Collins is also a Concealed Carry teacher at Aim Point Shooting School, LLC. It is a subsidiary of Smoky Mountain Shooters Supply Inc, where Mr. Collins serves as President. Mr. Collins is certified by the North Carolina Department of Justice for NRA pistol instruction. He teaches Basic Pistol, Personal Defense Inside the Home, and Personal Defense Outside the Home.
Mr. Collins enjoys all variations of shooting. In his free time, he likes spending time with his grandchildren. He also finds entertainment in Harley Davidson motorcycles, horses, his Llewellyn Setter Lady, grouse hunting, and his farm.
